Part 4 PCIA News & Business: Looking Ahead to PCIA Legacy Issues, Chuck Kaminski, PCIA President
Final Plenary, Sunday, October 5, 2025, 2:15 – 4:15 pm, Part 4
PCIA will close in 2026. For the last thirteen years, we have formed a strong association that has charted the volunteers and others who have served in IRAN from 1962 -1976. Thru the long time efforts of Genna Stead Wangsness (Land Between Two Waters), John Krauskopf ( Memories and Insights: Iran Through the Eyes of Peace Corps Volunteers), and other PCIA writers, along with our Khaber Nameh publication and biannual conferences, we have captured and touched on the history and stories of our time as volunteers in Iran. Our practical business post this conference will be focusing on closing our non-profit status. You will have heard about Peace Corps projects including the Museum of the Peace Corps Experience, the Peace Corps Park and the Peace Corps Community archives at American University which present opportunities for you as a returned PC Iran volunteer to consider your own legacy.
