When We Grew Together: A Film Featuring RPCVs on the Peace Corps, Iran and Themselves

Two accomplished Iranian American filmmakers at Y-Knot Production, LLC, interviewed a number of former Peace Corps Volunteers over the past several years for a documentary that highlights the unique Peace Corps presence In Iran. This feature-length film, “When We Grew Together,” is a critical part of preserving and publishing the legacy of Volunteers in Iran and the US—the mission of PCIA. However, PCIA has not been involved in making or financing this independent documentary. Portions of their work were shown to great acclaim at the virtual PCIA conference in 2022 and at the Conference in Chicago in May 2024; this screening is a completed version.
